You can get infected with a fungus:
- Directly: by walking barefoot on the ground or grass, where fungal spores may be present; upon contact with a sick person or animal.
- Indirectly: when using personal belongings of an infected person (towels, shoes, manicure instruments).
Fungi love warm, humid environments, so all types of locker rooms, gyms and swimming pools provide ideal conditions for them spreading and infecting humans. Very often, the fungus is transmitted between members of the same family.
A fungus isn’t just something that looks displeasing - it’s a serious ailment that affects your health and undermines your immunity system.
